I'm also using the "hipster pda" method to implement GTD. As silly as it seems, I can relate to your concern about being conservative with the cards - which would fly in the face of the whole system. To ween myself off being conservative and truly capture everything bouncing around in my life and my head I've taken the many printouts that are no longer needed and sliced them up into notecard size. Having the paper in with my cards is a "good trick" to take my mind off waste and on capturing.</description>
