{"id":16,"date":"2004-11-30T02:42:56","date_gmt":"2004-11-30T09:42:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/evanlenz.net\/blog\/?p=16"},"modified":"2004-11-30T01:53:25","modified_gmt":"2004-11-30T09:53:25","slug":"gtd-moleskine-and-3x5-cards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evanlenz.net\/blog\/2004\/11\/30\/gtd-moleskine-and-3x5-cards\/","title":{"rendered":"GTD, Moleskine, and 3&#215;5 cards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/B00069DKW0\/\"><img src=\"http:\/\/images.amazon.com\/images\/P\/B00069DKW0.01-A1HH8X1DSLCZNP.MZZZZZZZ.jpg\" alt=\"Moleskine journals\" title=\"Moleskine journals\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I bought my first Moleskine journals tonight (a small squared notebook and a large ruled notebook).<\/p>\n<p>I intend to use some combination of these and 3&#215;5 cards to implement the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0142000280\/manalangcom-20?dev-t=D2B1IIRG931JN5%26camp=2025%26link_code=sp1\" title=\"Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity\">Getting Things Done<\/a>&#8221; system.<\/p>\n<p>One idea I had was to use one 3&#215;5 card for each Next Action and then store them in the accordion folder at the back of my Moleskine (probably the large one). A good preliminary exercise would be to destroy some cards just to start getting the feel for it and to break past any conservatism that would keep me from freely dispensing with the cards. Actually, I can leverage my own desire to preserve my nice things by keeping the card count small so as not to put too much wear and tear on my expensive Moleskine.
